Been experimenting more with macrame and copper, i liked this photo because it looks like a little jellyfish! Outside-of-the-studio news… I moved into an apartment that comes very close to my dream apartment in this city. I’m working on the set up, here is a corner in progress, I’ve never known the beauty of a skylight before now!

Its a beautiful day outside and i’m taking a break from fixing patterns. Thought I would share a picture of…of course, a plant. I had been watering this here succulent a little too much, it started to grow too tall and the leaves were too spread apart. I took scissors and with sniped twice, leaving it in three parts. Not two weeks later all three pieces had started to sprout again, just having left them on the window still. The flower has callused and sprouted roots and the stems have started to flower!

Another variation of the Harbord Carryall with hand-stitched straps. Also, here is a picture of an old pallet of mine i found while cleaning up at the studio the other day. I still use these colours all the time.

Outtakes on the roof with the sweetest most beautiful and talented couple in the city! Thanks Hanna and Paul

I’ve been been busy making presents and designing for next winter, putting pictures on my walls and experimenting with tools and waxes and the like. It is getting nice and cozy these days at the studio that it makes it hard to leave sometimes.

I can’t believe this year is almost over, its been a good one with lots of changes and excitement. Thank you to everyone for their support, happy holidays and see you next year!

Another backpack,  I made this one for Jenny earlier this year…well actually I made two. The first one was too big, Jenny is so mini I had to scale the second one down to fit her! I used a patterned melton wool, made leather buttons for the front pockets and used grey leather my aunt sent me from Ecuador!

I try to upcycle whenever possible when making new pieces. This is an old Coyote coat and a vintage Norwegian sweater I took apart this year to make into some beautiful Sweater mittens. I tend to use Norwegian knits the most, they have such beautiful traditional patterns and they are knit with strong wool that helps keep you especially warm.

It feels funny to say it but as much as I love this warm November air in Toronto I can’t wait for the snow to wear these mittens again!

Fall 2011 lookbook photo time soon so things are messy and busy at the studio but new things are coming to life every day! I’m trying to be better a this blogging stuff so expect more photos soon. Here are some sneak peeks at whats been going on at 310
